Description
A refreshing and festive Apple Cider Sangria recipe perfect for fall gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 8 cups spiced apple cider (store-bought or homemade)
- 3 cups white grape juice (for wine substitute)
- ½ cup caramel syrup (or caramel coffee syrup for a similar flavor)
- 2–3 apples, sliced thinly
- 2–3 oranges, sliced thinly
- 1 cup fresh cranberries
- 2–3 cinnamon sticks
- 1–2 cups sparkling water or ginger ale (optional, for a fizzy twist)
Instructions
- Prepare the fruit: Slice apples and oranges thinly. Add them to a large pitcher along with cranberries and cinnamon sticks.
- Mix the sangria base: Pour in apple cider, white grape juice, and caramel syrup. Stir gently to combine.
- Chill: Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours — or overnight — to let the flavors infuse beautifully.
- Before serving: Stir again and top off with sparkling water or ginger ale for a light, bubbly finish.
- Serve: Pour into glasses with fruit slices in each serving. Garnish with a cinnamon stick or drizzle of caramel if desired.
Notes
- For a warm version, heat everything gently on the stove (don’t boil!) and serve in mugs.
- Add pear slices or pomegranate seeds for extra fall color.
- Use cinnamon sugar on the rim of glasses for a festive touch.
