- 2 cans tuna, drained
- 1 medium apple, diced (Honeycrisp or Granny Smith work great)
- ¼ cup celery, chopped
- ¼ cup red onion, chopped
- ¼ cup walnuts, chopped
- ¼ cup mayonnaise (or Greek yogurt for a lighter option)
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Prep the Ingredients: Dice the apple, celery, and red onion. Drain tuna well and flake with a fork.
- Mix the Dressing: In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
- Combine Everything: In a large mixing bowl, add tuna, chopped apple, celery, onion, and walnuts. Pour dressing over the top and mix gently until evenly coated.
- Chill and Serve: Chill in the refrigerator for 15–20 minutes before serving for the best flavor. Serve on a bed of lettuce, as a sandwich, or with crackers.
