- 1 fresh ciabatta or crusty baguette, sliced in half
- 3–4 slices prosciutto, mortadella, or salami (or a mix)
- 1 ball of burrata (or fresh mozzarella if you prefer)
- 2 tablespoons basil pesto (homemade or store-bought)
- 2 tablespoons roasted red pepper spread or sun-dried tomato pesto
- A drizzle of olive oil
- Optional: balsamic glaze, fresh basil leaves, or arugula for garnish
Instructions
- Lightly toast the cut sides of the bread for a crisp, golden texture.
- Brush each side with a little olive oil.
- Spread basil pesto on the bottom half of the bread.
- Spread roasted red pepper spread (or tomato pesto) on the top half.
- Add your slices of prosciutto, salami, or mortadella evenly over the pesto layer.
- Gently tear the burrata open and place the creamy inside over the meat layer.
- Season lightly with salt and pepper if desired.
- Top with the other half of the bread.
- Press gently, slice in half, and enjoy immediately while the bread is warm and the cheese is melty and rich.
