Description
Caramel Apple Sangria is a refreshing fall beverage that combines the flavors of apple cider, caramel, and fresh apples, perfect for autumn gatherings.
Ingredients
Scale
- 3 cups apple cider (fresh or sparkling)
- 2 cups white grape juice (for the wine flavor substitute)
- ½ cup caramel syrup (or caramel coffee syrup)
- 3 apples, chopped (mix of red and green for color)
- 1 cup club soda or sparkling water (optional, for fizz)
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice (keeps apples from browning)
- Cinnamon sticks or star anise (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Prep the apples: Core and chop the apples into bite-sized cubes. Toss them with lemon juice to prevent browning.
- Mix the sangria base: In a large pitcher, combine apple cider, white grape juice, and caramel syrup. Stir well until the caramel is fully mixed.
- Add fruit: Add the chopped apples and stir again. Let the sangria chill in the fridge for at least 1 hour to let the flavors infuse.
- Before serving: Stir again and top with sparkling water or club soda for a refreshing fizz.
- Garnish: Pour into glasses with a few apple chunks and a cinnamon stick or caramel drizzle.
Notes
- A splash of pear juice for extra sweetness.
- A few orange slices for a citrusy twist.
- For a cozy warm version, gently heat on the stove (don’t boil) and serve warm like mulled cider!
