Description
Chicken and Broccoli Alfredo Stuffed Shells are a delicious and hearty dish filled with creamy Alfredo sauce, tender chicken, and fresh broccoli, all stuffed into jumbo pasta shells.

- 2 tablespoons butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 ½ tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 ½ cups heavy cream
- ½ cup whole milk
- 1 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- A pinch of nutmeg (optional)
- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded or diced
- 1 ½ cups steamed broccoli florets, chopped small
- 1 ½ cups ricotta cheese (or cottage cheese)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 20–22 jumbo pasta shells, cooked al dente
- ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese (for baking)
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese (for baking)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the jumbo pasta shells according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside to cool slightly.
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté until fragrant (about 1 minute). Whisk in flour and cook for another minute. Gradually add cream and milk, whisking constantly until smooth and thickened. Stir in Parmesan, salt, pepper, and nutmeg. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine chicken, broccoli, ricotta, mozzarella, Parmesan, and egg. Season with salt and pepper. Mix until well blended.
- Spread ½ cup of Alfredo sauce on the bottom of a baking dish. Stuff each shell with 2–3 tablespoons of the chicken-broccoli filling and arrange them in the dish.
- Pour the remaining Alfredo sauce evenly over the stuffed shells. Sprinkle with mozzarella and Parmesan on top. Cover with foil and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 20 minutes, then uncover and bake another 10 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Top with fresh parsley and serve warm with garlic bread or a crisp salad.
Notes
- Substitute rotisserie chicken for an easy shortcut.
- Add a touch of crushed red pepper for a little kick.
- You can prep and refrigerate this dish up to 24 hours ahead — just bake when ready!
