Creamy Garlic Pasta

Description

A deliciously creamy garlic pasta that is easy to make and perfect for a weeknight dinner.


Ingredients

  • 12 oz pasta
  • 8 oz cream cheese
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 3/4 cup reserved pasta water
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (optional)

Instructions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook 12 oz of pasta until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water, then drain.
  2. In a large skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add 3 minced garlic cloves and sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
  3. Add 8 oz of cream cheese (cut into chunks) and stir until smooth. Slowly pour in 3/4 cup of reserved pasta water, whisking until creamy.
  4. Stir in 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Add the cooked pasta to the sauce. Toss to coat. If needed, add more pasta water to loosen the sauce.
  6. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and more Parmesan, if desired. Serve hot.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, you can add more garlic or use roasted garlic.
