A delicious and creamy garlic shrimp pasta recipe that is easy to make and perfect for any occasion.

- 12 oz linguine or fettuccine
- 1 lb shrimp, peeled & deveined
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp butter
- Salt & pepper, to taste
- 1 tsp paprika (optional)
- 2 tbsp butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup half-and-half (or milk)
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- Pinch red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)
Instructions
- Boil salted water and cook pasta until al dente. Reserve 1/2 cup pasta water, then drain and set aside.
- Heat olive oil and 1 tbsp butter in a pan. Season shrimp with salt, pepper, and paprika. Sauté shrimp until pink (1–2 min each side), then remove shrimp and set aside.
- In the same pan, add 2 tbsp butter and sauté garlic until fragrant (30 sec). Stir in heavy cream and half-and-half, then add Parmesan, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and pepper flakes. Simmer for 3–5 minutes until thickened, seasoning with salt and pepper. (Add a splash of pasta water if too thick.)
- Add pasta to sauce and toss to coat. Add shrimp back in and let everything heat together for 1 minute.
- Top with parsley and extra Parmesan, then serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a splash of white wine after garlic.
- Don’t overcook shrimp — they turn rubbery fast.
- Substitute chicken or salmon instead of shrimp.
- Use cream cheese for extra richness.
- Add spinach or mushrooms for veggies.
- Refrigerate leftovers for up to 3 days.
- Reheat gently with a splash of milk or cream as the sauce thickens in the fridge.
