Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 cups fresh baby spinach
  • Optional: red pepper flakes for heat

Instructions

  1. Pat the shrimp dry and season with salt, pepper, paprika, and Italian seasoning.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add shrimp in a single layer and cook for 1–2 minutes per side until pink and lightly golden. Remove shrimp and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Pour in chicken broth and scrape the bottom of the pan to release flavor.
  6. Stir in heavy cream and bring to a gentle simmer.
  7. Add Parmesan cheese and stir until the sauce thickens slightly.
  8. Add spinach and cook until wilted.
  9. Return shrimp to the skillet and simmer for 2–3 minutes until fully cooked and coated in sauce.
  10. Taste and adjust seasoning. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Serve over fettuccine or linguine for a complete meal.
  • Can be paired with rice or cauliflower rice.
