Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour

¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1 cup buttermilk

1 cup hot brewed coffee
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.

In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

In a separate bowl, mix buttermilk, oil, eggs, and vanilla extract.

Add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined.

Slowly pour in the hot coffee, mixing until smooth. The batter will be thin.

Pour batter evenly into the prepared pans.

Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
