Ingredients

- 1 pound raw peeled and deveined shrimp
- 1 tablespoon taco seasoning
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 lime, juiced (divided)
- 6 corn tortillas
- 1½ cups shredded cabbage
- ¼ cup sour cream
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 avocado, sliced
- ¼ cup chopped fresh cilantro
- ¼ cup pickled red onions (optional)
- Pinch of salt
Instructions
- Toss the shrimp with taco seasoning, olive oil, and juice from half a lime.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the shrimp for 2–3 minutes per side until opaque and slightly charred.
- In a small bowl, mix sour cream, remaining lime juice, and garlic powder to create a crema.
- In a separate bowl, toss shredded cabbage with lime juice and a pinch of salt for the slaw. Let sit.
- Warm corn tortillas in a dry skillet for about 30 seconds per side.
- To assemble each taco, layer slaw, shrimp, avocado slices, and drizzle with crema. Top with cilantro and pickled onions. Serve immediately.
Notes
- Make sure the shrimp are cooked through and no longer translucent.
- Feel free to add additional toppings like cheese or hot sauce.
