Ingredients
Scale
- 1 box (8 slices) frozen Texas toast (garlic or buttery style)
- 1 lb ground beef (or ground turkey)
- ½ cup chopped onion
- 1 can (8 oz) tomato sauce
- ⅓ cup ketchup
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp mustard
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar or Colby Jack cheese
Instructions
- Bake Texas toast according to package directions (usually 5–6 minutes at 425°F) until lightly toasted on one side.

Notes
- Optional toppings include crumbled bacon, diced pickles, or a drizzle of ranch or BBQ sauce.
